Living with Lemons

Lemon yellow has always been a fresh color that I can't get enough of. When I was a little girl I proudly declared that it was my favorite color and to this day it still is. How lucky the people are who picked the lemons below, from their own backyard, no doubt, in Los Angeles, or somewhere in Tuscany, or Spain. Here in Colorado, the closest I can get to picking my own lemons is from the fruit stand in my neighborhood grocery store. I love the contrast of the blue chair and the yellow fruit. Gives me lots of design ideas. Photo: Santos
Wow. I love this photo below. Not only does it have another one of my favorite things in it (a Madonna statue) but lots of lemony yellow.....lemon? Upon further inspection, I do believe that these "giant" lemony lemons are not lemons at all but are, in fact, spaghetti squash. To this artist's eyes, the lemony yellow squash in contrast with the peeling vintage white paint adds a warm touch. Photo: Bountiful

Gary and Brenda have a glorious lemon tree in their Camarillo back yard that yields thousands of lemons each year!! Imagine!!
I'm a can't-get-enough-of-lemon girl too! Artisan Center sells a natural lemon "house" scent called Cucina that I saw/smelled over the Christmas holidays. Been thinking of getting some ever since!

Guess it's time to load up on some more fresh lemons and limes for the Italian Peasant Woman' s basket-- she's done to one! Poor dear-- she always has that strict look on her face, but when she's down to only one lemon she starts to look cranky! :O)
