Chinese Inspiration

At the Design Boom blog I found this spirited work by Chinese artist and architect Pei Zhu.  These photos are of his art installation for the 2010 12th International Architecture Biennial in Venice, Italy. Studio Pei Zhu created this soaring wonder with more than 1300 acrylic bars arranged on a sandy grid.  It's not just the soaring work that inspires, but also the words of wisdom: "Art is not the final goal; art is a process to personal refinement and growth." and this: "Art is the immaterial content of space that stirs the heart and sparks humanity's dreams."  -studio pei zhu  see it all here, and here.
